norval morrisseau (1932-2007) was an Indigenous Canadain artist from the Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek First Nation. widely regarded as the grandfather of contemporary Indigenous art in Canada. he founded the Woodlands School of Canadian Art and was a prominent member of the " Indian Group of Seven"
