Collection: John Balloue

John Balloue is a registered tribal member of the Western Band of Oklahoma Cherokee. After serving in Vietnam he began taking art courses from a local Junior College. Forty years later it has become a way of life. Having a Cherokee father and English/Irish mother, and not being raised on a reservation, art was a way of understanding, keeping alive and honouring his native ancestors. John received his BA in art  from CSUEB in 1975.
