micqaela jones grew up on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation of the Shoshone and Paiute Nations, northwest of Elko, Nevada, USA. micqaela's youth was filled with rich visual experiences, days spent hunting and fishing and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. her work has evolved into an intertwining of her Shoshone culture along with contemporary expressions, resulting in colourful, vidid paintings.
