THE BENEFITS OF A JIGSAW PUZZLE

If  you are looking for a healthy distraction from a busy life and added stress, then look no further than your dinning room table. Jigsaw puzzling is a great way to pass time. Putting together a jigsaw puzzle has many health benefits and can help reduce stress and improve memory.

Mindfulness is the act of bringing conscious attention to a task in the present moment, and puzzles are a great way to practice it.

Puzzles are also good for the brain. Studies have shown that doing a puzzle can improve cognition and visual-spatial reasoning. The act of putting together a puzzle requires concentration and improves short term memory and problem solving. Using the puzzle as an exercise can spark the imagination and increase your creativity and productivity.

Spending time alone with a puzzle can help you unwind and restart from a busy day. Working on a puzzle with someone else also helps build personal  connections and bonds with other people.

There is nothing more satisfying than finding that just right piece to put in its place.

I encourage you to try puzzling and let mind go on a little mini-vacation from the outside world.

You can find lots of interesting puzzles at Kelly Lewis Cards & Gifts to get started.

  • I love jigsaw puzzles. Solving jigsaw puzzles is a form of meditation where you are focused and present in the moment.

  • Puzzling is one of my favourite hobbies and this winter I ordered three of them. They were excellent quality and had unique colourful pictures which I love. Will definitely be buying more!

  • I recently ordered a Bissell puzzle for my wife, I ended up speaking with Kelly about having it shipped to my wife as I was away on business, I did not want a copy of the invoice enclosed, what a refreshing, pleasant old fashion service that was. I ended the call with a smile on my face, and the puzzle was delivered long before I returned home. Thank you for helping me score a few points. Scott
