CREATIVE GROWTH ARTS CENTRE

Creative Growth is a non-profit organization based in Oakland, California. Operating on the belief the inclusion of artists with developmental disabilities strengthens community. This group of artists are provided a supportive studio environment in which to grow as contemporary artists, including gallery representation.

Creative Growth was founded in 1974, guided by the principle that art is fundamental to human expression and all people are entitled to its tools of communication.

It all started in the home of Elias Katz and Florence Ludins-Katz in the Oakland, California area. They were committed to the artists and would provide professional representation to exhibit their work.

The Creative Growth studio is now home to over 140 artists who work in a variety of media.

As a non-profit gallery, all artwork sales are directly support the artists and Creative Growth, which in turn purchases materials, and keps the program operating.

Creative Growth artwork has been acquired by prominent museums and collections world-wide. Including MoMa, SFMMOMA and the Smithsonian

Kelly Lewis Cards & Gifts is delighted to offer images of art featured on Baggu products in the shop. Including John Matin, Rickie Algarva, & Jessica Rodriguez. The collection is now sold out, but the love of Creative Growth continues.
